Congressman Jo Bonner has been working for the people of his Congressional district long before being his first election in 2002. He was press secretary and later chief of staff to his predecessor, Congressman Sonny Callahan for 18 years. Living in the district during his time as the Congressman’s chief of staff exposed Congressman Bonner daily to the needs of his constituents. Today, their needs are first and foremost while he’s in Washington, DC serving on the powerful House Appropriations Committee and the Senior Republican on the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct (the ethics committee).
The Congressman and his wife have 2 children.
